Los Angeles - Phil Spector was sentenced Friday to 19 years to life imprisonment for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, who was shot in the mouth in the music industry producer home before six years.

Spector, 69, then straight ahead and showed no emotion as Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler ordered a period of 15 years to life for second degree murder, plus four years for the personal use of a weapon.

Clarkson mother Donna, a brief statement before sentencing, talking about her daughter fine qualities, sense of humor, intelligence and dedication to her craft of acting.

"I am very proud of Lana, proud to be her mother, Donna Clarkson said. She added:" No one shall suffer the loss of a child. "

The judge also ordered Spector to pay $ 16,811 in funeral costs $ 9,740 to a state restitution fund for victims and other charges.

Spector, wearing his usual dark pinstripe suit with a red silk, a tie, was led away immediately. His lawyer asked that he be transferred immediately from the county jail to state prison. It was not known immediately prison Spector, who will be awarded.

Spector has gained fame decades ago for what became known as the "Wall of Sound" recording technique that changed rock music.Clarkson was best known as the star in a 1985 Roger Corman cult film classic "barbarian queen." She was 40 when she died.

Spector was frail and suffering 69-year-olds who 19 years can probably lives. His lawyer said he was permanently prison by focusing on its plans to appeal.

"It is this very well," said Doron Weinberg. "He is adapting to circumstances and establish awaiting with great expectations. He believes he will win the appeal."

Spector had two studies with essentially the same evidence. His first was in 2007 gavel to gavel television and spectators flocked to the courtroom. But when the jury blocked after five months trial, his legal "dream team", which sometimes numbered a half dozen lawyers rescued.

During the second trial began in 2008, interest had waned. The judge ordered the cameras turned off and only a handful of spectators and reporters stopped to see sporadically in evidence.

The review lasted the same duration as the first attempt, but there is only one lawyer: Weinberg, a well regarded veteran in San Francisco. Young woman prosecutor Truc Do, were brought in to work with the Assistant District Prosecutor Alan Jackson. Most importantly, it is not a new jury. In the present woman wept after guilty conviction, but not give advice on what tipped the scales of the panel's decision, except to say that based on all evidence, testimony.

During jury selection, only a few of the panelists remembered Spector heyday as a producer and anthem of crimes, including "To know him is to love him," The Ronette of "Be My Baby" crystals "Da Doo Ron Ron" and fair Brothers " classic "You Lost that Lovin 'feeling." "Spector also worked on the Beatles album with John Lennon.

Ironically, Clarkson did not know Spector musical legacy when she met only hours before she wound up dead in his Alhambra "castle". 40-year-old actress was the star in the 1985 Roger Corman cult film "Goth Queen", but in 2003 she was working as a hostess at the House of Blues nightclub, where she had to be told by the manager that Spector is an important man.

His time has passed. And Clarkson's career is ebbing. Their fateful meeting recounted in the two studies led to his death at the end of his life as he knew it. For the next six years he has spent millions on lawyers, which he wants to prove that Clarkson killed himself.

But what happened inside his house has never been clear. Clarkson body fell into a chair in the lobby. A gun was fired inside her mouth. Spector of the master key witness said he heard gunfire, then saw Spector emerge holding a gun and heard him say: "I think I killed somebody."

Weinberg said the forensic evidence proved that Clarkson shot himself in despair, and judgment is unable to operate. Jackson said that the photos meet the pattern of other confrontations between Spector and women and said Spector would not be "A demonic crazy" when he drank.

Much of the case hinged on testimony from five women from Spector said earlier that threatened guns when they tried to leave his presence. Alongside the night Clarkson died were chilling even if the stories are very old - 31 years in one instance.

Weinberg Spector said the appeal will argue that the judge sin in allowing women to testify.
